About Us

We are Denise (Dee) and Troy.  We took over the lease of Bar Geminis – Sol y Luna in October 2023.  We have lived in Almanzora and surrounding areas since we moved from the UK in December 2019.

Denise has a background in customer service, hospitality and administration and most recently worked for an NHS Trust in the UK, providing remote support during and after the pandemic.

Troy’s background is as a courier, so is used to dealing with people from all walks of life.

We have frequented many bars, both in the UK and here in Spain , especially the local ones, so when the opportunity to take Bar Geminis over came up, we jumped at it, being something very different to what we are used to!!  This particular bar does hold some particularly good memories for us as we held our Wedding Lunch here at the bar in 2022.

The bar has a large outside terrace, that is partly covered, so offers both sunshine and shade.  We have two large dogs, a Newfoundland and old English Sheepdog so appreciate it when bars accommodate dogs, something we are looking to do here at Geminis.  Keep a eye on our blog to find out how progress is going.

We offer a number of events on a weekly and monthly basis, keep an eye on our events page to find out what is coming up.  We work with local companies to provide good quality food, drink and entertainment.

We are looking to create a calm, relaxing, family-friendly environment for all, so come down, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat and let us know if we have succeeded.
